ICT LESSON PLAN

YEAR LEVEL AND SUBJECT YEAR 10 - IT APPLICATION
CLASSROOM CONTEXT
‘Is this a mixed –ability class?’ • Class consists of a mix gender, with majority of male.
• Class size is 25 students.
• No special need students,
• Only few students (3) are allergic or have asthma conditions as was shown in the students’ list names.
RATIONALE
‘Why am I teaching this lesson?’
‘Why am I using this particular pedagogy/methodology?’ • This lesson was under the Topic that needs to be covered in the curriculum which I have viewed by the mentor Teacher.
• I used visual model as effective strategy to simplify the lesson via power point

READING

• Students are able to read all the documents attached in this Lesson.
• Power Point shows the different aspects of the Application of Spreadsheet, reading the cell in the correct way based on the row number & column Letter (e.g B1, A3,).
• MS Word showing the steps required to do their small project.
• Data, word, numbers, formula


WRITING

• Having read all the requirements, to write the data into the worksheet.
• Data to be written are numbers, names, formulas
• Formulas (=Sum (B1:B9)).
• TV programs shows (drama, horror, sport, science,..)
• Expect the student calculate the required data to graph the result.


SPEAKING/LISTENING

• Expected to participate in lesson stages (engagement, analysis, evaluation).
• Exploring what knowledge they have about spreadsheet so far.
• Provide answers to the question thrown.
• Pay attention to the class conducted by the teacher.
• Comprehend what is being said in order to do the work.
• Apply what the learned from listening, reading and discussion with teacher and group work to apply it to practice.

MONITORING AND ASSESSMENT

• Small project typed in MS word, to apply the steps using spreadsheet.
• Link to the internet sites of spreadsheet to clarify some raised questions.


EVALUATION

‘Did the students achieve the learning outcomes?’ ‘What might I change about this lesson in future?’
• Apart of the work practice on the computer couple of students is completed the project within the time frame given perfectly.

• Get feedback from students about their understanding and comprehension in order to reflect accordingly.
